從各大廠的行銷政策談 Open Source Software / Free Software 的推廣 (TOC Only)

正如我在失敗的 Open Source Software / Free Software裡說的, 我準備寫一篇長篇大論來討論 Open Source Software / Free Software 現在的問題到底在哪兒. 同時, 這篇文章當中, 扣掉 OSS/FS, 其實應該是與一般本土軟體的推動會面對的問題應該是一樣的.

軟體業界起起落落, 有人燒了很多年錢, 有人失敗到不行. 雖然不一定有成功的公式, 但是相信成功的軟體, 一定都會有某些特質. 畢竟願意花錢買東西來用的人, 不是笨蛋.

我不是專業的市場行銷分析, 很多事當然一定不會懂. 可是話說回來, 如果你寫了一套軟體, 你自己都不會喜歡用, 又如何能說服人家跟著用? 更不要講在使用這些新軟體而引起的新的問題, 能否排除? 這些問題, 不應該是由軟體開發廠商說的, 而應該是由使用者的角度來討論. 只是能代表多大群使用者的觀點就不知道了. :)

短時間之內, 應該不會有後續文章, 因為會縮回到 wiki 搞定之後再貼出來吧.

    Got your point. :)

    IMHO, I just want to write a post (of course not paper, maybe later) of Micro$oft-style software (or those big commercial software) v.s. the other side (that is, OSS/FS/…. whatever), the problem will not be focused on the difference between OSS/FS/…, but will be focused on commercial-based and community-based. Of course those company who use OSS/FS in their commercial plan will be also discussed.
