日子又過了一年. 猶記得 2008 從 HappyDesigner 新竹場及 OSDC.tw 2008 宣傳 COSCUP 2008 之後, 近半年沒停過的籌備工作.

人生, 總會有些夢. 在 COSCUP 2008 會後, 花了數個月仔細思考過自己的目標之後, 我決定暫停參與所有 Open Source 社群推廣活動, 把工作之餘的時間, 用在另一個不同的方向上. 希望能把過去十年推廣自由軟體的經驗, 成為未來新方向的助力. 有些朋友已經知道我想要做什麼了, 請祝福我.

感謝 Ping 在我表達不參與 COSCUP 2009 之後, 跳出來說要當總籌. 延續這個年度大拜拜的例行社群活動. 沒錯, COSCUP 2008 會後, 籌備團隊內部有些不愉快, 甚至似乎影響到 2009, 但不會因此減損 COSCUP 是台灣地區最大自由軟體社群活動的光芒. 不在其位, 不謀其政, 一些程序上的暇疵和觀念上的差異, 茶壺裡的風暴就讓他留在過去的茶壺裡. 就到此為止.

身為 COSCUP 創辦人之一及前任總籌, 希望在新血的參與之下, COSCUP 能有一番不同的風貌, 也祝 COSCUP 2009 一切順利圓滿.

The topic is because it’s still a kind of protection, but for outlook/keyboard/screen instead of system/data.

There’s no silicon case for VAIO P till now, even there’s one, it might not be good for VAIO P because it’s not good for heat elimination. I bought a screen+case protection pack, and a anti-dust cover for keyboard case protection stick is just like Cutting Sheet (卡典西德), and I’m not good to do such kind of job, yes my VAIO has better protection, but becomes a little bit ugly…

Maybe it will be better if I pay for some professional to do this, or I should stick some freaky logo on the cute VAIO P just like my previous laptops…

There’re 2 special keys on P15, one is InstantOn, the other (Tail Button) is to tile windows vertically. Of course it cannot work under Windows XP… (somebody said InstantOn works well on XP, I cannot make it)

Originally, Vertical Tile can be found on the Windows Start Menu by pressing Right Mouse Button -> Vertical Tile. If you insist to do this by some other programs, there’re 2 similar solutions for windows arrangement.

1. AcerGrid: Acer made for its notebook for free, and no limitation to use in other brand. Since it’s really old, official download webpages are all dead…
2. WindowSpace: it’s not free, but you can control by shortcut keys.

Now, all of my VAIO P15 functions are working well under Windoz XP becides InstantOn (somebody said there’re G-sensors in P15?). However, for a 26sec bootup limitation OS and a less than 40sec bootup full function Windoz XP, what will you like? (For me, I’ll try to install Linux by myself)

$ony VAIO P15 有兩個特殊鍵, 一是 InstantOn, 另一個是並排視窗用的. 這兩個鍵在 Windows XP 底下是不會 work 的. (有人在 XP 底下成功起動 InstantOn, 那個人不是我 orz)

並排視窗功能, 其實是 Windows XP 內建的功能, 只要在開始功能表上頭按滑鼠右鍵, 選『垂直並排』就可以用了. 可是如果能有更快速的做法, 當然更好不過. 其實有兩個還不錯的軟體可以幫上忙.

1. AcerGrid: 原本是 Acer 出給他自己的 NB 用的, 不過在別家的機器上也能 work, 原廠 url 都斷了, 所以請 google 一下碰碰運氣吧…
2. WindowSpace: 這個是要 $ 的, 但是可以用快速鍵直接控制. (反正調螢幕亮度已經不能用 Fn keys 了, 那就將就一點吧)

所以, 現在我的 $ony VAIO P15, 除了 InstantOn 之外的所有功能, 都等於已經解除封印了 (聽說還有 G sensor 回頭再來試試). 倒是 InstantOn, 老實說, 一個開機要 26sec, 功能有限的 OS, 和一個開機不到 40sec 的全功能 OS, 你會選哪個? (倒是我還是會想辦法把 Linux 裝起來就是…)

每次裝完 XP 都要來這麼一下, 還是乖乖把幾個程序記下來比較保險… (Click here to read the rest of this entry)
